Default Kindle

I haven yet to see anyone carrying one of these around, but bloggers and other writers are doing their best to provide content that is Kindle friendly.

Has anyone purchased and/or used one of these alternatives to actual books and newspapers?

One of my best friends has one, and he swears by it - could be a good market.

I'm starting to hear about it, and I think it's interesting. It reminds me of the "glass book" that I heard about years ago.

Is it a device that you load with content, or is it a wireless way of "streaming" content?

Kindle is a software and hardware platform for reading electronic books. It uses an electronic paper display and download content over Amazon Whispernet using the Sprint EVDO network. Kindle hardware devices can be used without a computer, and Whispernet is accessible without any fee.
