Social Networking
Apart from catching up with school friends that you may not have seen for decades or sending a virtual vodka and coke to a work colleague, sites like Facebook and MySpace can be really useful tools. (not least for wasting time while your boss isn't looking)
However, whilst surfing I've noticed that they are being heralded as the latest aid in marketing both online and offline businesses. I'm not a huge fan of MySpace, but I can see how sites such as Facebook, Gather and LinkedIn can be of great assistance in generating awareness of whatever you have to offer.
A great example is to check out the right margin on this site -----> there's the link for twitter, which is arguably the hottest of all social networking sites at the minute. I'm not a great user of the site, but you can guarantee that when I do use it, I will follow e-businessonline because that little sign has maade me curious.
Have you included any social networking sites in your marketing efforts yet? If you have, in what kinds of ways are you employing them and are they living up to your expectations?
