This past month I tried purchasing "stumbles" at Stumble Upon.

Since it is easy to control how much you spend either by number of stumbles or daily budget, the program can cost very little.

Not sure if it would work for every situation, but it is something to consider if you need an Adwords alternative.

What do you get when you purchase stumbles?

My impression of that site is that it's a social bookmarking system similar to Reddit or something like that.

I guess at least we have an alternative to adwords and i use it for a long time now.
