hey guys, what about including in your welcome banner some topics which are not really that related to the world of 'e-businessing'? That way, people from all walks of life may be intrigued and find their ways here. Other types of businesses might as well be considered while in the venturing stage.

Hey, not a bad idea - not sure what we'd add, and where ... the main focus is to optimize the site for those searching about e-business, e-commerce, and all the tools that go along with doing online business, like merchant accounts, payment gateways, shipping solutions, ebay, amazon, dropshipping, wholesale providers, and other keywords and phrases. Suggestions?

I would suggest an "Around the watercooler" section for general discussion posts not related to e-commerce. You can have it as a "catch all" or you can break it down into sub-topics like:

Current Events (A place to discuss what's going on in the world outside of our offices)

Home and Family (The problems, frustrations and joys of balancing a family and a business),

General business discussions (All those pesky offline tasks that we all have to do; from phone calls to dealing with zoning officers)

Hobbies/Pastimes (The various ways we all unwind)

Vents and Frustrations (Had one of those days where you SHOULD have stayed in bed?..talk about it here)

Share a laugh (Laughter is the best medicine so share your jokes & your funny anecdotes)

and Whatever (For anything that doesn't really fit anywhere else)

thanks lady! that was precisely what i had in mind. a thread that would serve to ventilate some other topics while at the same time still doing e-business on the side.

I think it would be great to organize a competition in this board. It's a good strategy to invite more members and make our community grows faster. What do you think?

crystal - that's a good idea, I have done that w/ other forums and it worked OK - - - right now, not sure what the prize would be ... need to get a better foundation ... but we'll be doing something soon!
