For you who are involved in online business as a main source of income of just an extra income, do your family support your effort or at least don't discourage you that you will never get money from the internet...well, something like that?

My experience (I can only speak from my personal experience) is a tremendous show of support from my wife. However, at the same time, doing this can take an exhaustive amount of time, and you can get some flack for not having boundaries. When your business is 'online' - you tend to be connected everywhere you, and you'll find yourself pushing orders on Christmas Eve instead of spending time with the family. That can cause problems ... quick.

I think that my wife and others tend to think that if I'm home, I'm not really working, which is not the case.

And sometimes I'll be working on the computer and the TV or phone conversations will get a little distractingly loud. But it's not too bad.

Yes, that's what we are facing today. Most people still consider working as going to office in the morning and coming home in the afternoon. Working online is still considered not working, which is no problem actually. We are making money doing what we like.

Ricardo, that's hilarious. For the first couple of years that I worked full-time from home, that was a contentious issue. We worked through it, and I was able to get some boundaries established. Also, if you work from home, it's practically a non-essential that you find a room or office to setup that is solely for that.

I think that's an excellent idea.

It doesn't happen to me all that much, but I think some people who work from home tend to take their laptop and drift into the living room and maybe work from the coffee table, which gets away from the established office environment, and probably looks less like they're working to family and friends.

At first, my sister discourage me to pursue online job. She said internet world is full of scams and fraud. But I did not listened to her because I want to prove that she's wrong. When I got my payment online, I really showed her my cheque and proofs that I earned money. Now, she's earning extra income too online. My parents are very supportive because they know that I've got talent and skills.
