Do you prefer running a CMS (Joomla!, Drupal or Wordpress - it's a CMS also, right?) website or a uniquely designed website? I would love to run a unique website for the obvious reason, it's unique. But as I don't have neither sufficient knowledge and skill to develop my own website nor money to get it done, I ended up using Joomla!. It's a great CMS despite the fact that it's an open source which is freely available.

On most cases I would go with unique web designs. CMS are also good but since many people are using these scripts very rarely I won't use them. If people who want their site to be unique must go for a unique web designing.

I'd also say it depends on the purpose of the site. All of the CMS can be really good, I've not seen a CMS that fits for e-commerce, though.

WordPress is my favorite, and is so open-source, that it's completely customizable, to the point where you don't even recognize it's wordpress anymore.
